Matthew Bittick

Matthew Bittick (PB) CCIM SIOR

Matthew Bittick, founder and principal broker of Bishop Street Commercial, has been a commercial real estate agent for more than 18 years. Prior to starting BSC, he was senior vice president at PM Realty Group Hawaii, responsible for the company's investment sales, leasing, and brokerage activities. For three consecutive years, 2006-08, Matt was PM Realty's national sales leader.

He began his professional real estate career in the institutional investment division of Lehman Brothers in Los Angeles and the Newport Beach office of Sperry Van Ness. His background also includes experience as an office leasing and investment specialist for Grubb & Ellis-Orange County and as managing director for Grubb & Ellis-Hawaii, where he was named salesperson of the year for two consecutive years.

Matt attributes his success to working directly with clients, understanding their needs, and responding in a personalized manner that is increasingly rare in the world of corporate real estate. Recently, Hawaii Business magazine named him one of only ten "2009 All-Stars of Commercial Real Estate," a designation arrived at through the recommendations of 50 prominent peers in Hawaii's commercial real estate industry.

Matt is a graduate of the University of Southern California and is a former U.S. National Water Polo Team member and All-American. His affiliations include Rotary International, USC Alumni Association, Hope Chapel-Kaneohe, and Phi Kappa Psi fraternity. He is a current board member of Aulea, one of Hawaii's largest swim clubs.

Scott Garmon

Scott E. Garmon (PB)

Senior Managing Director | Big Island

Scott Garmon heads up the new Bishop Street Commercial office in Kailua-Kona on the Big Island of Hawaii. He offers BSC clients insight and knowledge gained during 20 years of experience in commercial real estate in Orange County, California—one of the country's most diverse commercial markets—as well as on the Big Island.

In 1996, Scott joined Cushman & Wakefield of California, where he was selected to participate in their extensive broker training program and was later engaged in a host of large commercial transactions. Scott moved to Hawaii in November 2008, working with Clark Commercial Group on the Big Island of Hawaii before joining BSC in 2010.

Scott, a licensed real estate broker in Hawaii and California, holds a BS degree from San Diego State University in finance and real estate, with a minor in philosophy. He is a member of Habitat for Humanity-West Hawaii Chapter and his interests include surfing, classic cars and motorcycles, music, and backpacking.

Keenan Sue

Keenan J.S. Sue (S)

Director | Office Services Group

Keenan Sue is director of the Office Services Group for Bishop Street Commercial. He specializes primarily in representing institutional tenants and landlords throughout the State of Hawaii. He personally is responsible for over 2 million square feet of Class A office space in each of the three largest office submarkets in Hawaii. Keenan also provides real estate advisory for Hawaii's most prominent institutions including leasing, acquisitions/dispositions, restructuring and transaction logistics. A few of his clients are Pacific Office Properties, Bristol Holdings, Inc., Aloha Petroleum, American Savings Bank, and John Hancock. In 2011 Keenan earned the Bishop Street Commercial Top Producer Award having completed more than 80 transactions totaling nearly $40,000,000.

A graduate of Punahou School and Macalester College (St. Paul, MN), Keenan was a professional baseball player, NCAA college baseball coach, and commercial airline pilot of the former Aloha Airlines. He continues to fly as a hobby and coaches high school baseball in the Interscholastic League of Honolulu (ILH). Keenan is an avid golfer and member of the Oahu Country Club. He currently resides in Manoa Valley with his wife and son.

Dennis Park

Dennis P.K. Park (S)

Director | Office Services Group

Dennis Park joined Bishop Street Commercial in January 2011 as a leasing agent for buildings in the Pacific Office Properties portfolio. He comes to BSC from Abe Lee Realty, where he was a Realtor Associate. Prior to that, he worked in a number of sales positions at Sears Auto Center, Macy's West, and Vans Triple Crown.

Dennis has excelled throughout his relatively short career, assisting in the training of new personnel and earning accolades from customers for his dedication to service—an attribute that we prize highly at BSC.

A graduate of the Shidler College of Business, University of Hawaii at Manoa, in 2009 with a BBA in finance, Dennis was born and raised in Honolulu and is also a Roosevelt High School grad. In his free time, he participates in triathlons, finishing second in his age division in one event, and enjoys photography and working out at the gym.

Richard Schuman

Michael E. "Skip" Schuman (B) CCIM GRI CPM

Managing Director | Industrial Services Group

Skip Schuman joined Bishop Street Commercial in 2011, bringing with him extensive experience in commercial real estate and a formidable track record in the sales, leasing and management of major Hawaii properties.

Skip started in real estate in 1978 with Mike McCormack Real Estate. Later, he formed Schuman Commercial and Schuman Management, the latter contracted for leasing and management of the 500,000 square-foot office and industrial portfolio for F.T. Opperman-Simpson Warehousing Company.

He has served as vice president of Sofos and Company, representing Bank of Hawaii in the sale of Black Development to Hawaii investors. As vice president of Chaney, Brooks and Company, he ran the brokerage arm and negotiated the sale of the company's residential condominium division. He later joined PM Realty as the exclusive broker for Gentry Properties in the sale of their remaining industrial land at Waipio Gentry Industrial Park. He also represented Alpac Pepsi Cola Company in its 150,000-square foot warehouse in Halawa, Winthrop Rockefeller's acquisition of a 40,000-square-foot warehouse at Campbell Industrial Park, and the purchase of the 130,000-square-foot Paradise Beverages corporate facility in Gentry Waipio.

Skip and his wife, Taryn, have been married for 33 years and have two sons. He is a graduate of California Polytechnic Institute at San Luis Obispo.

Erin

Paul R. McWilliams (S)

Director | Office Services Group

Paul began his career in 2010 as an intern with BSC working directly under the supervision of Matthew Bittick, 18 year veteran and founder of Bishop Street Commercial.  During Paul's internship he was instrumental in developing the Company office building research platform which reports monthly on activities within the 50 largest office buildings on Oahu. 

In July of 2011 Paul became part of the leasing team, directly involved with the day to day leasing activities for approximately 500,000 square feet of office space.  His current assignments include Hale O Kapolei for Bank of Hawaii, and Pearlridge Office Center for Glimcher/Blackstone.

Paul is an avid golfer, musician, and enjoys spending time with his 4 year old daughter.  He was born and raised in Hawaii and is a graduate of Kalaheo High School and will graduate from the University of Hawaii in 2012.

Dorlene "Kolina" Chao (S)

Director | Investment Sales | Kailua-Kona

Kolina joined BSC in 2011 following a stint at Clark Realty on the Big Island. She brings a broad array of real estate and related experience to her role as Director of Investment Sales.

She graduated from the University of California at Riverside with a BS degree in business administration with emphasis in marketing, and completed intensive language study of Mandarin at Princeton University. Afterwards, she worked with companies in southern California and Hawaii in the areas of escrow/title, marketing, and mortgage lending. These skills are proving valuable in achieving her goal of going above and beyond to provide quality service to real estate buyers, sellers, and investors.

Kolina loves living in Hawaii and enjoys outrigger paddling, surfing, and fishing. She also enjoys participating in a variety of Polynesian dances including Tahitian and hula. Her support of community activities includes hosting charity events and coordinating events for Big Island's historic Kailua Village.

Hamana C. Ventura (S)

Hamana Ventura has been in commercial real estate business since 2002. Prior to starting at Bishop Street Commercial, Hamana served as Property Manager for Sofos Realty Corporation which provided him with a variety of experience.

As the property manager, Hamana worked closely with tenants and brokerage teams to ensure owner objectives were met. His responsibilities included, onsite property inspections, maintenance of tenant accounts and rent collections, monthly reporting, budgeting, enforcement of lease provisions and negotiating of vendor contracts.

Hamana takes pride in his ability to assist in the marketing of vacant space and identifying potential tenants. With experience ranging from qualifying new tenants, to lease preparations and lease execution, Hamana is a well-rounded real estate professional.

Prior to working in commercial real estate, Hamana worked in the residential mortgage industry for 12 years as a loan officer and realtor.

Hamana is a graduate of the University of Hawaii at Manoa with a degree in Economics. Currently a resident of Kailua-Kona, Hamana looks forward to working closely with Bishop Street Commercial to ensure owner objectives for each asset are consistently met using diligence gained from his experience.
